Introduction:


Execute and maintain Governance around Retail committee reporting process, Review & challenge of MI and Data Management on behalf of Group Risk, ensuring consistent MI is prepared and presented, as well as the management and support of specific Board and Group committees (including Impairment monthly consolidation).

Development, standardization and delivery of committee and external disclosures aided by valuable portfolio insights to help senior Risk Managers, Group Risk, Barclays Board make informed decisions in compliance with Regulatory and Risk Policies.

This role would also be responsible for portfolio reporting.

The incumbent will interact with wider RIS and risk teams, technology, policy, governance and finance teams in this role to ensure Risk reporting services.

What will you be doing?

Key Risk Committee and Regulatory Reporting (50%)

  • Assist in the coordination and forward planning of BI Risk Committees that span across BI risks.
  • Proactively consolidate and support submission of BI Risk updates, including to the Group Risk Committee, Board Risk Committee and Group Board.
  • Responsible for the coordination of the semiannual BI CRO rating agency updates.
  • Responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate production of Risk reports used by BI stakeholders and senior management to monitor the Risk profile.
  • Deliver process improvements across our reporting requirements to drive efficiency and higher quality reporting.
  • End to End ownership to understand portfolio movements and contribute to enhanced risk analysis
  • Independently review of wider team deliverables
Portfolio MI Reporting

  • Delivering reports adhering to requirements set by the CRO teams or transitioning reports in to RIS the CRO teams have built.
  • Analysing data to ensure this is fit for report consumption.
  • Help ensure regular delivery of standardised Risk Information packs to agreed stakeholders.
  • Adhere to completeness, accuracy and timeliness principles of Risk Data Aggregation and Reporting.
  • Optimal mix of automation and portfolio insights to ensure that Risk Information is consistent, accurate and actionable.
  • Provide accurate Risk Information in compliance with Group and regulatory requirements
  • Development of new Risk Information suites, DataMart and selfserve utilities as required
Improving Internal Processes/ Quality (20%)

  • Any Automation
  • Ownership of automated solution and driving process improvement
  • Proactively identify ways to improve the control environment by considering what could go wrong in the processes and how errors could be prevented
  • Doing detailed impact analysis to identify impact from data migration, impacts on other parts of mortgage book reporting etc.
  • Accuracy of reporting while connecting reporting to the authoritative data sources and identifying correct flags on the data for identification
  • Link with other key strategic programmes like Financial Difficulty compliance, Analytical ready data build, tableau reporting to ensure the data integration on Kensington has comprehensive coverage.
  • Lead Initiatives to improve and automate processes to minimize errors and reduce effort
Governance and Control (20%)

  • Comply with the Group Risk governance framework, change management requirements, EUDA and process review requirements and BCBS239 compensating control requirements.
  • Support BAU End User Developed Application (EUDA) requirements (including Annual Review)
  • Support BAU BCBS239 requirements
  • Barclays List of Records: Maintain/Refresh
  • Comply with the Risk Information services governance framework, change management requirements, EUDA and process review requirements and BCBS239 compensating control requirements.
  • Ensure stakeholders are engaged and signoff all relevant documents
  • Building reports to adhere to Barclays infrastructure and control process be that from tactical or strategic data sources

What we're looking for:

  • Degree in Bachelors' in Engineering / Bachelors' in Technology or Masters in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operational research field, Engineering, Masters in Business Administration
  • Banking and Credit Risk understanding on Retail lending products i.e. Mortgages, loans, credit cards. Prior exposure to working on data structures for retail banking products
