    Description

    Role Summary:

    • We are looking for someone to join our European Direct Lending Group as an Associate, focusing on Portfolio Management.
    • The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work independently.
    • This role offers a great chance to be part of a growing team that provides exposure to all aspects of Direct Lending.
    • The Associate will assist in monitoring European corporate debt and equity investments, quarterly valuation and reporting, and supporting fund raising and investor relations efforts.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    The Associate will support the monitoring of Ares Direct Lending Group's European corporate debt and equity investments, assist with portfolio management, valuation, potential restructuring, and fund raising activities.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Monitoring corporate investments
    • Assisting deal teams with investments and portfolio management
    • Supporting restructuring efforts with financial models
    • Communicating with portfolio company management
    • Using firm's software tools for tracking
    • Managing quarter-end valuations
    • Analyzing portfolio trends

    Additionally, the role involves supporting fund raising and investor relations.

    • Developing Ares' investment track record
    • Assisting in investor presentations and research
    • Conducting financial and market analysis for new investments
    • Providing necessary support to senior management

    Experience Required:

    • 6 - 9 years of relevant investment banking/fund experience

      • General Requirements:

      • Self-motivated, attentive to details, and a team player
      • Strong problem-solving skills
      • Integrity and trustworthiness
      • Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint modeling

      Reporting Relationships:

      Partner, Credit
