About our group:

The group is part of the Seagate's Big data analytics & LYVE cloud solutions & services. LYVE Cloud Storage-as-a-Service platform is an S3-compatible storage-only cloud that enables always-on mass capacity data storage and activation.

It is designed as a simple, trusted, and efficient service allowing enterprises to unlock the value of their massive unstructured datasets.

We develop and maintain the next generation enterprise data and analytics platform with engaging architectural decisions, designs, development, and in operations of the Data platforms.


About the role - you will:

  • Be part of a product team of Platform Engineers that are the crux for developing and maintaining Big Data (Data Lake, Data Warehouse and Data Integration) analytics platforms at Seagate
  • Be responsible for Development and administration of Big Data platforms such as Data Warehouse Appliances, Hadoop (AWS EMR, HortonWorks), Data Lake Technologies (AWS S3/GCS/Other)
  • Be learning and developing solutions for analytics platform that increase efficient use of infrastructure & improve end to end SLA of data analytics pipeline
  • Document the work undertaken
  • Complete internship project as per plan

About you:


  • Good understanding of programming and big data concepts
  • Selfmotivated & a strong team player
  • Possessing good debugging and analytical skills
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies

Your experience includes:


  • Proficient in data stucture and Algorithm
  • Good understanding of Python/Java/Scala programming
  • Knowledge of big data concepts (Hadoop, Hive, spark, Pyspark)
  • Good to have Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS S3/GCS/Other) and devops
