Function:
Fitter (PEB)

The tasks a Fitter, Construction is expected to perform include:

Erecting columns, trusses and general fabrication work at site for construction of buildings, heavy foundations, hangars, sheds, etc. under guidance of Civil Engineer or Overseer
Examining drawings and other specifications
Selecting rods and cutting them to required length
Bending rods using hand tools or bending machine and joining them together with wires or fasteners
Placing rods in forms and fixing them in position
Reinforcing concrete with wire mesh

KEY COMPETENCIES

Knowledgeable about building technologies and construction technologies
Wellversed with temporary structure methods and technologies
Knowledge of steel fitting, steel fixing, fabrication, steel structuring
