    Description

    BE/ME or equivalent degree in Software Engineering, a finance degree/diploma is a plus

    + Must have a developed application using C# dot net, Python with MS SQL and AWS

    + Keen on code quality, design frameworks, best practices.

    + Minimum 15+ years of experience with 5+ year's tech management architecture / tech leadership experience

    + Strong knowledge of software development processes and methodologies. Agile and Scrum methods will be good to have

    + Experience managing, hiring technical projects and tech teams

    + Experience or a personal interest in latest trends in technology is strongly preferred

    + Proven success facilitating team collaboration across multiple offices, with a willingness to collaborate with Chicago-based Morningstar teams and client contacts around the globe.

    + A demonstrated ability to manage multiple, large projects with aggressive timelines and wide, challenging scope.

    + Excellent communication, time management/organization, problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

    + Ability to lead team decision-making processes and foster an environment of healthy team debate and collaboration.

    + Comfort in dealing with ambiguity, ability to create focus and keep the team on track.

    + Technical skills and education are desirable.

    + Prior experience using JIRA project and issue tracking software is a plus.
