    Description

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance profitability and efficiency within the publishing vertical
    • Oversee the end-to-end publishing process from manuscript acquisition to production to distribution, ensuring high standards of quality and timeliness
    • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning of the publishing vertical. Monitor and optimize spending and operational costs
    • Market Insight: Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends and adjust operational procedures and strategies accordingly
    • Establish and maintain relationships with authors, literary agents, and other key stakeholders in the publishing industry
    • Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective marketing strategies for book launches and ongoing sales initiatives
    • Oversee the entire publication process including content creation, editing, design, production, and distribution
    • Lead and expand a team of editors, designers, marketers, and other publishing professionals.
    • Provide mentorship and direction to ensure high performance and career growth
    • Maintain effective communication with all key stakeholders including authors, content creators, and internal leadership to ensure transparency and alignment on objectives
    • Ensure that all publications meet industry standards and are released on schedule. Uphold the highest level of quality and integrity in all published materials

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, Publishing, Literature, or related field; Master's degree preferred
    • More than 5yrs of experience in pricing & distribution within the publishing industry
    • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
    • Solid understanding of the financial and marketing aspects of book publishing
    • Creative thinker with the ability to spot and develop emerging trends and opportunities in the publishing industry
