This role has been designated as 'Edge', which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.

What you'll do:


_ Responsibilities:
_


  • Develops organizationwide


architectures and methodologies for design and development of complex products, platforms, systems, software, and technology across multiple engineering disciplines, platforms and organizations within the Global Business Unit.


  • Identifies and evaluates new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships for alignment with technology roadmap and business value; creates plans for integration and update into architecture.
  • Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards; integrates suggestions, updates, and innovations into overall architecture.
  • Leverages recognized domain expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence decisions of executive business leadership, outsourced development partners, and industry standards groups.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less
- experienced staff members to set an example of engineering design innovation and excellence.


What you need to bring:


_Education and Experience Required:
_


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Typically 1015 years experience.

_ Knowledge and Skills:
_


  • Design, test and/or commissioning of wired communication systems with involvement in the complete design lifecycle
  • Knowledge of VLANs, QOS, trunking, RSTP, PVSTP+, ACLs, SNMP, VRRP
  • Working knowledge of 802.11a/b/g/n/ac radios
  • Good knowledge on the routing concepts and protocols like OSPF & BGP
  • Good working or theoretical knowledge of Ethernet, Industrial Ethernet
  • Knowledge of general wireless concepts like SNR, tx rate, rx rate, radio management
  • Design experience with Aruba SDWAN, AOS-CX switches is a plus
  • Knowledge of Aruba Airwave and Central is a plus
  • Knowledge of network wireless survey and use of Ekahau tool is a plus
  • Good communication skills written & Oral
  • Work with frequently occurring incidents in the customer premises to resolve the issue
  • Drive in Design discussion
