Description

Key Responsibility:
Editing articles/news stories/ releases for the group's various publications/websites.
**- Editing news, interviews, feature stories, press releases to make them grammatically correct and readable

  • Converting print content into content appropriate for digital channels
  • Helping find the right images to go with stories
  • Verifying facts in stories, ensuring that the copy is errorfree
  • Adhering to the housesyle and keeping the housestyle guide updated
  • Working on CMS as and when required
  • Working with editors and other team members to streamline content.

Requirements and skills:


  • Excellent command over English
  • Strong news and visual sense
  • Good editing skills with the ability to edit copy for print as well as online
  • Highly organized and detailoriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proven work experience as a Copy Editor or similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
  • Experience working on CMS (Wordpress) is desirable but not essential

Editing and publishing:


  • Edit copies in time.
  • Edit and / or publish stories as required.
  • Contribute to any other editorial / content project assigned.
