    Chatbot Engineering Manager & Tech Lead

    Location: Open

    About the role:

    We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Chatbot team. This is a hands-on role requiring a candidate who is not only a proven engineer leader but also deeply involved in the technical aspects of development and architecture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Conversational AI and be able to guide the team through complex technical challenges while ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery of products in an Agile framework.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead and manage a team of Chatbot engineers, providing technical mentorship and guidance.

    Actively contribute to the engineering decisions needed to advance our Chatbot solution, working side by side with engineers on the team and demonstrating best practices on the ground.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and customer support, to align on product vision and deliverables.

    Drive the architectural decisions and lead the implementation of scalable, robust, and efficient systems.

    Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

    Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering in at least 2 different companies

    Minimum of 3 years of experience as engineering manager, managing teams of >4 people.

    Demonstrable experience with Chatbot frameworks.

    Demonstrable experience with Kubernetes and microservices infrastructure

    Demonstrable experience with AWS services, especially EKS

    Knowledge of software development and SDLC best practices. Bonus for familiarity with python or Go.

    Knowledge of QA best practices especially for integration testing and load testing

    Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.

    Strong communication skills, especially written, and the ability to interface effectively with various teams.
