ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures
  • Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time
  • Build financial modeling and due diligence efforts related to the company's ongoing M&A activities.
  • Develop and execute processes to allow for routine analytical reviews of company financial and operational performance, leveraging business unit analytical resources and tools
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
  • Develop scenario modeling efforts for the development and growth of the portfolio. Participate as a key thought leader of the finance team, influencing decision making, identifying finance priorities
  • Develop, implement and maintain an effective planning and analysis capability that will provide senior leadership with appropriate analytical tools to establish goals and measure performance of the Companys portfolio of businesses.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies
  • Implement and work with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports
  • Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understand ROI in marketing programs, menu pricing, new store rollouts as well as new projects
  • Influence the accuracy and effectiveness of the corporate accounting consolidation and closing process and treasury operations through analytical review and trend analysis.
  • Lead the development of accounting procedures in collaboration with accounting staff
  • Lead the strategic aspects of the annual operating plan and budget process for the company
  • Manage annual company liability insurance renewal process
  • Model potential changes to capital structure, acquisition and divestiture planning, shareholder returns.
  • Monitor and collect data to assess accuracy and integrity; analyze data; ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e., GAAP), rules, regulations, and systems of internal control; interpret and evaluate results, prepare documentation; create financial reports and/or presentations
  • Monitor competitive dynamics of the business lines
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
  • Oversee and manage the continued development of Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
  • Perform general accounts analysis and advanced balance sheet reconciliations
  • Perform the review of functional expense allocations, monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, fixed assets depreciation and recording of adjusting and reclassification journal entries, if necessary
  • Preparation of financial reports such as financial statements, budget performance, and interim financial reporting
  • Prepare and approve journal entries as required
  • Prepare presentations in support of board and shareholder meetings, monthly/quarterly senior leadership meetings and various strategic committees of the company.
  • Provide monthly management reporting to include Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling tools
  • Routinely communicate business unit and company consolidated financial and operational performance trends, historical and forecasted, using appropriate metrics. Suggest trends, resulting implications, key actions, and strategic implications. Coordinate the capital spending review process for the company.
  • Sales Tax reconciliation
  • Support sales division responding to RFP requests, insurance coverage and Bonding
  • Support the strategic business planning process
  • Supporting Senior Management Team and Departments heads with indepth analysis

DESIRED EDUCATION, TECHNICAL SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • MUST HAVE CA
  • MUST HAVE MIN 6 YEARS OF POST-QUALIFICATION EXPERIENCE
  • PREFERRABLY WORKED IN A MANUFACTURING ORGANIZATION
  • GAAP and financial reporting technical skills
  • 7+ years' experience in the accounting and finance sector
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Strong experience in private and public accounting sectors is preferred
  • Confidential, understands the ethical standards of accounting
  • Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain control and order over same
  • Able to analyze, organize, summarize, and articulate complex financial information
