Job Purpose:
To oversee sales and distribution activities to establish market leadership in the assigned territory, driving growth in net sales and revenues.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities:

  • Deliver sales target for all products (voice prepaid/postpaid, data, VAS, handsets etc.) by implementing the distribution strategy at the channel partner level
  • Ensure quality of acquisition through the distribution channel
  • Ensure stock availability at retail while complying with norms
  • Monitor competition programs & structures
  • Execute promotional activities for channel partners to boost sales and enhance market credibility
Revenue
  • Achieve revenue targets for the distribution channel across all products
Distribution Expansion and Extraction
  • Achieve retail (MBO) expansion targets by increasing outlets in existing and new geographies
  • Identify and cultivate new channel partners
People
  • Resolve channel-specific issues promptly
  • Keep motivation levels high through regular meetings with distributors, retailers, and off-roll sales representatives
  • Provide effective coaching to RMs and distribution partners for enhanced overall effectiveness
MD/AD/SD Management (own the CP as a business entity)
  • Negotiate infrastructure
  • Monitor DSE Quality/Quantity
  • Align Working Capital (investment in business)
  • Manage ROI and Primary Billing
  • Implement sizing corrections/territory dimensioning
  • Resolve problems and review performance trends
HSW Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to HSW norms
Key Performance Indicators:
  • Achieve key targets in the distribution network (Sales, Revenue) in the territory
  • Achieve retail outlet (MBO) expansion targets
  • Execute distribution strategies and plans
