Must Have Skills:

  • Experience on MSSQL SERVER 2008/2012/2014/2016/201
  • Experience in Installing, configuring, troubleshooting Failover cluster and SQL Always On environments.
  • Database Server Configurations
  • Implement and maintain database security.
  • High Availability configurations
  • Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting, Monitoring & Troubleshooting databases, capacity management.
  • Conduct proactive database monitoring and maintenance.
  • Configure database replication & Log shipping.
  • Set up and maintain database backups.
  • Triage database alerts and issues work with more senior team members to troubleshoot, identify root cause and implement corrective action.
  • Communicate with third party software vendors, as needed, to triage support issues
  • Strong interpersonal skills needed to effectively communicate with customers and business stakeholders.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 5 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
  • At least 1 year database, system administration and/or system engineering work experience
  • At least 4 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education, including:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Systems, Mathematics, Operational Research, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
