Description
EMEA Cheque Operations is responsible for completing fund transfer requests/payments received from our clients. Transaction requests are received via Cheques.

As a Operations Associate, you will be directly responsible for the day to day operations, including cheques processing - payments and receivable, client service & and database controls.

You will be responsible for understanding the key metrics and risk components and support the operations lead to meet the financial goals and objectives put forth by the LOB, while partnering globally with the regions where the business operations are located.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage overall KPI's and KRI's of the processes
  • Responsible for overall management and oversight of EMEA Cheque processes handled by GCC.
  • Responsible for team performance; training and feedback
  • Exhibits full knowledge and thorough understanding of payments lifecycle & payments processing.
  • Recognize and drive regional improvement opportunities arising from local/global situations
  • Ensure all operation procedures are in compliance with industry and legal regulatory rules and guidelines both locally and globally
  • Build exceptional relationship with business partners and stakeholders
  • Ensure implementation of bestpractices across the assigned branches
  • Execute regional projects across the branches in EMEA
  • Ensure sufficient internal controls and procedures to minimize risk able to drive the risks and controls agenda

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • Understanding of and experience in payment, cheque, clearing, Nostro recon etc.
  • Client focus minded
  • Knowledge of various aspects of International Payment Processing Operations
  • Working/Expert Knowledge of SWIFTS & international payment conventions & practices is a must.
  • Excellent communication and presentations skills across various stakeholders and senior management
  • Intermediate/Advanced experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical and logical thinking to understand and analyze complex business processes
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, detailoriented, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Fluent written and oral communication skills in English; local language is added advantage
