About Pritha DAS ROY:
Hello,
I have completed my B.A and M.A in English, P.G Diploma in Mass Communication followed by a Bachelor in Education in English and Social sciences (which is an equivalent teaching certification). I have a total experience of 11 years and running.
I was working in an International Ed-tech company as an Instructional Designer and I have been experienced as a Curriculum Planner (English). I have been a Postgraduate (English) Teacher and Primary Coordinator for 5 years. I have served in other important and relevant roles like Editor and a Journalist for 3 years. I have handled a team of more than thirty members as a Primary coordinator. I am often described as a solution seeker, patient listener and team player.
I believe in constant learning. My exposure in different genres vouches for my multi tasking ability and willingness to learn more. I am looking for a long term engagement.
To me, education is a hand-holding procedure where the educators facilitate the learners to enjoy their journey of knowing the unknown. Both the educators and the learners stand in the middle of the learning cycle which develops a holistic learning.
As a teacher I applied Bloom’s Taxonomy, Gardner’s MI and Inquiry Model in my lesson plans to develop the analytical thinking skills and hands on learning. I faced the parent teacher meetings as well as the parent orientation programs. I often counseled the students as well as their parents, whenever required. I was the Head of the English Club where focus was given on developing the students’ communication skills, confident body language and unhesitant conversation. These were attained through organizing debates, classroom presentations, group discussions, poem writing, story writing, story- telling and etc. I have worked with classes III-XII.
As a curriculum planner of English, I followed the 5E module to enhance the critical thinking and life-skills in my lesson plans, question banks and other teaching materials. I wish to up-skill my expertise and experience both professionally and personally.
Experience
