    Description

    Our division is focused on preventing, detecting, and mitigating compliance, regulatory, and reputational risk across the firm, contributing to strengthening the firm's compliance culture. Compliance achieves this through the firm's enterprise-wide compliance risk management program.

    As an independent control function within the firm's second line of defense, Compliance assesses compliance, regulatory, and reputational risk, monitors compliance with new laws and regulations, designs and implements controls, policies, procedures, and training, conducts testing, investigates, surveils for risks, and leads responses to regulatory examinations.

    You will join a diverse team with members from various academic and professional backgrounds, including law, accounting, sales, and trading. We seek individuals with sound judgment, curiosity, and adaptability to evolving regulatory landscapes.

    Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) is primarily responsible for implementing the firm's Anti-Money Laundering (AML), anti-bribery, and government sanctions compliance programs. This includes enhanced due diligence, sanctions screening, surveillance, and investigations to detect suspicious activities.

    The successful candidate will be part of the Financial Crime Compliance group, reviewing transaction surveillance alerts, conducting case investigations, and identifying potential suspicious activities. Responsibilities also involve recognizing patterns consistent with money laundering, terrorist financing, and other illicit activities to support the firm's AML program.

    The role includes completing daily tasks, participating in projects aligned with department goals, and supporting various AML & Fraud processes such as transaction reviews, fraud referrals, investigations, and filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR).

    • Ability to work independently and in team-oriented workflows
    • Strong analytical and risk assessment skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to prioritize work-flows and meet deadlines
    • Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients
    • Proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well-organized
    • Prior compliance experience – AML experience is a plus
    • One year or more of experience preferred
