Description
Responsible for sourcing/procuring equipment, scientific instruments, goods and services and managing vendors

  • Handling tendering as per rules and policies.
  • Researching and evaluating vendors, negotiating contract terms of agreement and pricing.
  • Reviewing quality of the products purchased, tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Maintaining updated records of all purchases, delivery information, vendor database and invoices.
  • Preparing purchase & administration related reports and carry out cost analysis, as applicable.
  • Supporting dayday activities related to Office Administration.
  • Maintaining Inventory for office consumables, Assets & Lab Equipment.
  • Monitor maintenance schedule for equipment, various installations in office.
  • Vendor invoices processing.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Any graduation or equivalent degree with minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience.


Skills,Knowledge and Expertise:


Essential

  • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices. Experience in researching and evaluating vendors.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing Open/Limited/Global tendering processes.
Excellent negotiation skills.

  • Process driven with strong documentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint & ERP Softwares.

Desirable:


  • Handson experience with a purchasing software
  • Experience in etendering
  • Knowledge of GEM, GFR & related processes/ procedures.
  • Understanding of Government Procurement processes.
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.

Other terms:


  • The positions are contractual and full time in nature.
  • The consolidated salary will depend upon the qualification, skills and experience provided in the range above which will be fixed and inclusive of everything.

Note:
The initial duration of the appointment is for 1 year which is extendable based on performance evaluated annually.
