    I. Hiring specifications


    Job Purpose:


    The Research Engineer role is a Robotic Software Development role at THRSL and is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications for robotic systems.

    The role involves working closely with the robotics engineering team to create efficient and effective software solutions for various robotic applications

    Role Expectations:
    develop, and test software for robotic systems, including applications for robot perception, navigation, and robotics engineers to integrate software with robotic hardware in languages such as ROS,ROS2, Python, and C++ to control robotic maintain technical documentation and reports related to software development for robotic deliver algorithms based on robotic path planning, motion planning and decision making (A*, RRT, CC-RRT etc.) to create systems and productsprototype, test, and launch cutting-edge autonomous navigationof algorithms based on SLAM and ROS for robotic movement and pick and place operationsof algorithms for control mechanism of robots along with optimizing fleet management system for autonomous robot fleet deploymentup to date with the latest advancements in robotics technology and incorporate them into software team meetings to discuss progress, issues, and strategies

    II. PEOPLE SPECIFICATIONS


    Profile:
    Ideally ~degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field.

    A master's degree is preferred.1-4 years of robotic software development experience in SLAM , motion planning C /C++ coding , Probabilistic Robotics, SLAM, Optimal Control, Motion Planning.expertise in Motion planning, trajectory planning, localization, and Autonomous systems.

    understanding of Model Predictive and PID controllersin Optimal and learning-based control would be a strong plusunderstanding of Motion control algorithms for Autonomous Driving Applications


    Requisites:
    Exposure to software development of autonomous mobile robots with defense, manufacturing and automation domain background.

    Competencies:

    Technical:in programming languages such as ROS/ROS2 and control systems, sensors, and software development for robotic systems, including SLAM, robot perception, navigation, and control.problem-solving skills and attention to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
