    Description

    Position: Dy Manager - Rolling Mill

    Department: Rolling Mill

    Location: Ethiopia

    Experience: 7 Years

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for achieving monthly and annual production targets.
    • Knowledge of mill equiments interlocks like-furnace, blowers, mill stands, HMD,S, SCANNERS, Encoders,pumps, compressors, flying shear, rotary shear, pinch rolls, hydraulic, pneumatics, lubrication system ETC.
    • Good knowledge of slit rolling,slitting guides,twister guides, H/V stands.
    • Troubleshooting and route cause analysis of cobbles,
    • Good knowledge of the SCADA and trends to analyse operation issues.
    • Spares and equipment management related to production.
    • Good coordination with inter dept like Quality,Maintenance,Electrical,Dispatch and Marketing,SMS,Store and finance.
    • Sound knowledge of Rolls hop, CNC, Notching, Branding etc.
    • Coordination with Purchase dept for procurement of the spares/consumable's equipment.
    • Planning and implementing preventive & breakdown maintenance schedules of machinery improving overall reliability of equipment & system to control down time. Key Skills: Description:
    • Reviewing and evaluating technical offers, technical discussions/clarifications, negotiations and finalization of technical issues.
    • Should have Clear concepts for production optimization, yield improvement.
    • Focusing on optimization of process parameters and initiating process improvements for achieving cost reduction and productivity targets.
    • Team oriented and should build a good working environment in plant. Stop unsafe practice in the plant.
    • Good English communication

    Key Skills

    • Hot rolling mill long product TMT strip mill knowledge
    • Mill stting, size change, Roll Pass design and guides knowledge
    • Sound knowledge in rolling process,and quality related issues.
    • Delay analysis(RCA),production /rolling plan.
    • Knowledge of stands,furnace,cooling bed,flying shears,rotary shear,pich rolls etc.
    • Close control capability over consumption.
    • Production Reports generation daily, weekly, monthly.
    • Preventive and predictive maintenance of production dept.
