Description

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user's specialized role.
  • Design and implement database in accordance to end users' information needs and views.
  • Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner.
  • Use highspeed transaction recovery techniques and backup data.
  • Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses.
  • Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.
  • Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards.
  • Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity.
  • Formalize older databases if required and optimize the SQL wherever required.

Technical Skills:

  • Good Understanding of MySQL and familiarity of Enterprise databases like MS SQL Server, Postgres.
  • Proven working experience as a Database Administrator.
  • Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL.
  • Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding.
  • Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and thirdparty tools.
  • Familiarity with programming languages API.
  • Problemsolving skills and ability to think algorithmically.
  • MCA / MSc Computer/ MCS / BE computer degree holder.
  • Familiarity with the AWS Services related to database.

Personality and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; be comfortable interacting with all levels of management.
