    Description

    Manage Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) to fulfil obligations for maintaining a safe working environment.

    Safeguard the safety and health of employees through proactive measures.

    Injury Control Measures:

    Give instructions and organize measures necessary for the control of personal injuries.

    Display safety instructions for the benefit of employees.

    Chemical Safety:

    Advise safety instructions for the storage, handling, and processing of chemicals.

    Job Safety Analysis:

    Advise on safety aspects in all job studies and conduct detailed hazard studies in selected jobs.

    Statutory Compliance:

    Implement statutory requirements as per relevant acts.

    Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

    Procure high-quality PPE to ensure employee safety.

    Fire Protection:

    Provide and service fire-fighting equipment for effective fire protection.

    Issue permits for hot works, vessel entries, and work at height.

    Plant Safety Inspections:

    Inspect plant safety to observe work conditions and rectify unsafe conditions in collaboration with concerned HODs.

    Internal Auditing:

    Conduct internal audits under the guidance of the Manager-OHS.

    Industrial Disease Prevention:

    Investigate contracted industrial diseases and prevent their recurrence by providing required conditions.

    Training Programs:

    Train employees in the understanding of material safety data sheets.

    Conduct training sessions on safety, fire prevention, and first aid.

    Managerial Support:

    Undertake delegated tasks from the Manager-OHS.

    Assume responsibility for senior roles in their absence.
