    Description

    Job Description:
    We are seeking a seasoned Linux Administrator to join our team.

    The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and maintaining Linux-based systems in enterprise environments.

    As a Linux Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our Linux infrastructure, as well as implementing best practices for system administration and automation.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Linuxbased servers and systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, Ubuntu, and other distributions.
    • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize server resources to ensure high availability and performance for missioncritical applications and services.
    • Implement security measures, including access controls, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security patches, to protect Linux servers from security threats and vulnerabilities.
    • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with security policies and compliance requirements.
    • Install, configure, and maintain system services and applications, such as web servers (Apache, Nginx), databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), DNS, LDAP, and email services.
    • Automate repetitive tasks and workflows using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
    • Perform system backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
    • Collaborate with other IT teams, including network engineers, system architects, and developers, to design and implement integrated solutions and troubleshoot complex issues.
    • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and training for other team members.
    • Stay updated on the latest Linux technologies, trends, and best practices, and evaluate new tools and techniques to improve system efficiency and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

    • Deep understanding of Linux operating system internals, kernel tuning, and system performance optimization.
    • Proficiency in shell scripting and automation tools for system administration and task automation.
    • Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall configuration.
    • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM, Docker) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
    • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, ELK stack) for system monitoring and troubleshooting.
    • Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders.
    • Relevant certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC), or CompTIA Linux+ are highly desirable.
