Sous Chef/Executive Chef

Location: Mumbai

Job Summary:

As a Chef de Partie (CDP), you will be an integral part of our culinary team, responsible for leading a specific section of the kitchen and ensuring the preparation and presentation of dishes to the highest quality standards.

Under the guidance of senior chefs, you will contribute to the smooth operation of the kitchen and play a vital role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee a designated section of the kitchen, taking responsibility for the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes within that area.
  • Execute a range of culinary techniques and cooking methods, ensuring that dishes meet established quality and taste standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of junior kitchen staff assigned to your section, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with other sections to ensure the timely and coordinated delivery of orders, maintaining a smooth flow of service.
  • Assist in the creation and development of new dishes and menu items, adhering to the restaurant's culinary concept.
  • Monitor and control cooking processes to guarantee consistency, taste, and presentation of dishes.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization in your section, including proper equipment maintenance and sanitation practices.
  • Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste.
  • Uphold strict food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Participate actively in training programs and culinary development initiatives to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Communicate effectively with senior kitchen staff, coordinating efforts and reporting progress and challenges.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, hygiene, and uniform standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Indepth knowledge of culinary techniques, cooking methods, and presentation standards.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, able to handle a fastpaced kitchen environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Creative flair for developing and refining menu items.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary education is a plus.
  • Proficiency in maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic culinary setting.
  • Depending on local regulations, a food handler's certification may be required.
