    Overview of the Role

    Analyze business requests to be addressed with automated systems. Develop and design automated systems scope and objectives based on user needs and a deep understanding of relevant business systems and industry standards. Provide expertise in identifying, assessing, and creating systems and procedures that meet user needs and fall within estimated sizing. Configure system settings and options, plan and execute business design, aid in integration and acceptance testing as needed, and create specifications for systems to align with business requirements. This includes analyzing business and user needs, documenting requirements, and translating them into appropriate system requirement specifications.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Act as a link between client end-users, programmers, and test analysts in-depth analysis, design, configuration, testing, and maintenance of intricate systems to ensure optimal performance. Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and develop an understanding of the complexity of the client's business. Consult with management to identify, define, and document business needs/objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input/output requirements, data scope, usage formatting, security requirements, and levels of systems access. Maintain communication with end-users, review feedback from other Business Analysts to ensure systems consistently meet the client's expectations. Analyze complex problems and offer alternative solutions. Conduct meetings and lead discussions.
    • Analyze, interpret, and create simple to complex business specifications and logical flowcharts containing features and functions for programmers to develop technical specifications. Use system or module knowledge to design system screens and database structures. Work with programmers to design and develop requirements and evaluate the feasibility of new systems and enhancements to existing systems. Ensure the system design aligns with user needs. Prepare input for system design, including final reports, screen definitions, logical system flow, and implementation plans. Provide support in resolving issues that may impact multiple systems and business processes. Identify system impacts of changes in the business, user needs, external business environment, and operating systems.
    • Lead the documentation of client training and installation of systems and upgrades; establish universally understood procedures for permanent records, post-implementation issues, and revision requests; procedures, methodology, and/or application standards, including payment card industry and security compliance. Maintain, administer, and review all procedures, methodology, and/or application standards to ensure payment card industry and security compliance.
    • Develop, administer, and recommend best practices for supporting testing/planning/validation by clarifying the intended functionality. Utilize experience and expertise to prevent complex issues from impeding successful implementation.
    • Occasionally assign project work to Business Analysts. Assist in detailed project planning for larger projects and may serve as a Project Manager for smaller development initiatives. Monitor project progress, track activities, resolve issues, publish progress reports, and suggest actions. Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Maintain software deployment plans and communicate them to the user community, ensuring users are informed of any anticipated deviations from schedules.

    Qualifications for the Role

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Relevant Experience or Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or related field; or equivalent training or experience
    • Minimum of 6 Years Relevant Experience
    • Professional experience collaborating with end-users to meet business needs

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Minimum of 6 Years Relevant Experience
    • Scripting knowledge, bankcard industry understanding, familiarity with data structures, professional experience working with end-users to address business needs
    • Working towards a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)

    Desired Skills and Capabilities

    • Skills / Knowledge - Utilizing extensive experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues creatively and effectively. Some challenges exist at this level (e.g., department/peer review).
    • Job Complexity - Tackles complex issues where deep evaluation of varied factors is required. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to achieve results. Networks with key contacts outside of own area of expertise.
    • Supervision - Sets methods and procedures for new assignments and may coordinate the activities of other personnel (Team Lead).
    • Problem Solving - An experienced professional with strong problem-solving skills and resolution based on a broad business knowledge base
    • Proficiency in MS Office & Flowcharting - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio. Familiarity with various drawing techniques using Visio or UML
