    Description

    Job Title: Specialist - Systems at Sungard Availability Services

    Sungard AS is a renowned leader in providing resilient production environments for global enterprises through IT, cloud, and recovery services.     Location: Pune / Bangalore

    Job Purpose: Specialist-Compute role involving technical expertise in customer environments, building relationships, and enhancing customer satisfaction. This role offers a great opportunity for individuals with 6 to 8 years of experience in network operations to advance in cloud infrastructure technologies.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide top-notch customer support and technical expertise for customer environments
    • Act as a Tier III level support for escalated customer outages
    • Assemble detailed documentation for incident, change, and problem management
    • Identify and resolve chronic problems and root causes
    • Maintain technical expertise and certifications in emerging technologies
    • Build customer relationships and provide technical guidance
    • Communicate customer needs to internal teams and assist in architecting solutions
    • Act as an escalation point for troubleshooting and problem resolution
    • Participate in disaster recovery activities and contribute to service improvement plans

    Technical Competencies:

    • Bachelor's degree with 5 to 11+ years of enterprise-scale environment experience
    • 5-10 years of experience in Windows Server operating systems
    • Strong knowledge of storage, backup technologies, and networking standards
    • Experience in Unix based operating systems, ESX/VMWare, and scripting
    • Proficiency in ITIL based incident & change management

    Skills and Behavioral Competencies:

    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
    • Ability to lead effectively during crisis events
    • Skilled in MS Office products and managing customer relationships
    • Quick learner with strong time management and organizational skills
