    Description

    Protection & ControlEngineer is responsible for relayprotection and control engineering activities, including basic design and checkof detail design for high voltage substation and transmission projects. Thisposition will offer the ability to directly apply candidate's knowledge ofprotective relaying and controls systems in substation and transmissionprojects.

    Locations: -Gurugram/Chennai/Pune

  • Perform analysis and design of single line diagram.
  • Develop concept of substation relaying & metering diagrams(i.e. A.C. schematic diagrams), and D.C. Schematic for basic design.
  • Prepare specification & Bill of Material forProtection/Control/Metering/RTU/ Communication Panels
  • Develop concept Diagram for substation control system andCommunications interfaces including RTUs, HMIs, and IEDs.
  • Develop Protection and Control Panel layouts.
  • Develop high level Cable Schedule for Substation.
  • Perform Factory Acceptance Test for Protection and Control Panels.
  • Perform reviews of work performed by others.
  • Work closely with other engineering and design and project teammembers to coordinate overall design and requirements during execution andcommissioning phases.
  • Understand and also clarify customer requirements, driving thoseexpectations into Siemens solutions.
  • What You Bring
  • This position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent withbackground in Electrical Engineering.
  • 4-6 years of experience with a focus onprotection/control/communications design for substations.
  • Experience in writing and providing support documentation forrelay calculations.
  • Knowledge on ANSI standards, IEC standards knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with various vendor protective relay equipmenttypically used in substation. protection, including SEL, Siemens, GE.
  • Know-How in Configuration Tools for protection relays fromdifferent vendors (SEL, Siemens, Hitachi, GE, Schneider ...) and control systemsis preferable.
  • Expertise with Ebase and Auto-CAD.
  • Hands-on experience with the below shall be preferred:
  • DIGSI-4 & DIGSI-5
  • Relay Configuration tool of GE, ABB or equivalent.
  • Must have Relevant experience in working with SystemIntegrators
  • Hands on experience and knowledge on working of different relaysapplication.
  • Soft Skills
  • Excellent Communication (Both written & verbal) &Inter-personal Skills.
  • Critical thinking, reasoning and problem solving are an essentialpart of this position.
  • Enjoys learning new things and build knowledge base in newarea.
