Who we are looking for:

State Street Alternative Investments Tax Group provides U.S. tax reporting solutions to various alternative investment products, primarily hedge funds and private equity partnerships.

You will be responsible for securing reports from various platforms both internal and external development of procedures required to perform all underlying tasks.

The role involves working closely with local management and our centralized Boston team to provide tax reporting services to the firm's alternative investment clients.

You will coordinate efforts with external audit firms and internal fund administration & financial reporting groups. Processing quarterly, yearly and ad-hoc Tax report requests will help maintain client's US tax compliance.

What you will be responsible for:

As an Associate 2 you will:

  • Help the juniors in the process and initial review their work products.
  • Assist business groups on tax reporting requirements.
  • Communicate with managers on status of assignments/projects.
  • Ensure all checklists and controls are completed; all tax records are maintained in accordance with the business unit and internal audit guidelines.
  • Attend department training and maintain knowledge of tax laws and reporting.
  • Show willingness to assume additional tasks in order to share workload within team/department.
  • Raise ideas to manager to support continuous operational improvements.
  • Identify and report all risk and compliance issues, breaches and suspicious activities.
  • Act in accordance with Risk Excellence as part of our Corporate Strategy.
  • Perform other duties as required.
