    About Haqdarshak
    Simply put we are bridging the information and access gap between citizens and social security schemes (both government and private) using technology and a network of field agents known as Haqdarshaks (who are primarily women).
    Our Haqdarshaks are extensively trained in both government schemes and the on-field implementation of programs. They are also trained on how to liaise with government officials and bank officials. For the services they provide they make a commission which makes them financially independent. On our social media channels we have featured several stories of women who have not only gained financial agency but also an identity after working with us.
    We partner with corporates CSR departments, philanthropies, family offices, and even government offices to design and implement programs in the field. We have been around for almost 7 years. We are present in more than 24 states. We have unlocked benefits worth over INR 4000 crore for over 27 lakh Indian citizens. We have multiple digital portals (including two apps, one for citizens and one for our agents) where we have stored information on government schemes in 11 vernacular languages (currently working on reskinning these apps).
    We are also working on scaling our latest offerings Yojana Cards and Yojana Kendras. These are set to forever alter how citizens access welfare services in India.
    We are an independent organization and not affiliated with the government in any way.

    This job is for you if you're headstrong and opinionated. If you're driven and motivated. Be responsible for on-ground implementation of the project in assigned districts for delivery of benefits under various schemes to target beneficiaries with the help of technology.     This job is not for you if you're looking for an easy paycheque with little to no engagement as you bide your time in the hope of moving on to something else. You will hit the ground running with us, there's a lot to be done every day.
    Your Role
    • Undertake research activities to understand government schemes across Indian states, study the dynamics of departments that are involved in the formulation, implementation, and evaluation of policies around such schemes.
    • Maintain a comprehensive database of the most up-to-date schemes on a low code platform and ensure the quality standards are met.
    • Write research specifications and support teams with implementation plans by sharing evidence-based key insights.
    • Test periodically and share the insights with the delivery team for informed execution. Be well-versed with project requirements, objectives, and research reference terms in coordination with other verticals such as sales, client account management, operations, etc.
    • Interview members of the public/government departments and community members as required. Use a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods to deduce key insights. Analyze and interpret data from the field to devise strategies for better project execution.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand business strategies and build a team that can support the organizational goals.
    • Coordinate and dialogue between various external and internal stakeholders for smooth implementation of projects and programs.
    • Prepare and track regular progress reports of various organizational deliverables as required.
    Your Qualifications and Skills
    • We are Project management PG in public policy/rural development/development management. Have around 37 years of experience across disciplines such as rural development, community development, migration issues, urban poverty, financial inclusion, project designs, and impact evaluation.
    • Experience in government advisory/consulting/research added advantage.
    • Knowledge and experience of social research methods, primary and secondary research techniques, quantitative data analysis (added advantage).
    • MS Office excellency, knowledge of data analysis tools.
    • Be willing to travel across the country to the remotest locations.
    • Have excellent communication skills, fluent in English language and regional language. Be comfortable working in diverse cultural settings.
    • The ability to communicate confidently with people in influential positions as well as communities. Become comfortable with data and show the ability to articulate the story behind the data (Intermediate/Advanced Excel and data visualization tools proficiency is desirable).

You will use these insights to create better touchpoints that get the job done.
    • You will need to get your hands dirty. You will be a part of a subteam with a designer, another writer/journalist, and a video editor which means you will be working across disciplines.
