Educational Qualification:

B.Tech. /MCA or equivalent and (TrendMicro/CloudStrick/SentinalOne/Checkpoint) Technical certified in endpoint Security

Job Summary:

1. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join a high energy team of security administrators responsible for managing global security infrastructure.

2. This position is to be part of a global team, reporting to the Security Delivery Manager in Delhi-NCR.

Technology/OEM :

Palo Alto CorteX, SentinelOne, TrendMicro, Elastic, CrowdStrike

Technical Experience:

1. Strong knowledge of Antivirus/EDR/HIPS/XDR/MDR etc.

2. Strong knowledge of security principles, standards, and techniques.

Professional Attributes:

1. Should be open to work in any shifts, Travel to other locations when required,

2. Willing to learn new technologies cross skilling, Upskilling Good Communication presentation skill.

Role of an Antivirus Administrator

1. Installing and Managing Antivirus Software

I. One of the primary responsibilities of an antivirus administrator is to ensure the proper installation and management of antivirus software throughout the organization's network. This includes:

II. Deploying antivirus software across servers, endpoints, and other critical systems.

III. Configuring antivirus settings and policies to suit the organization's security requirements.

IV. Regularly updating antivirus software and virus definition databases to stay protected against emerging threats.

V. Managing licenses and subscriptions for antivirus software.

VI. By effectively installing and managing antivirus software, administrators create a strong foundation for protecting the organization's digital assets against malware, viruses, and other types of cyber threats.

2. Developing and Implementing Antivirus Policies

i. An antivirus administrator is responsible for developing and implementing antivirus policies that outline the standards and procedures for ensuring the security of the organization's systems. This involves:

3. Performing Security Assessments

i. Antivirus administrators are responsible for conducting regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats within the organization's systems. This involves:

ii. Performing system scans and vulnerability assessments to detect any weaknesses or security gaps.

iii. Analyzing scan results and identifying areas that require immediate attention.

iv. Categorizing and prioritizing vulnerabilities based on their severity and potential impact.

v. Collaborating with other IT teams to address identified vulnerabilities and implement necessary security measures.

vi. Security assessments allow antivirus administrators to proactively identify and address vulnerabilities, minimizing the risk of data breaches and other cyber threats.

4. Analyzing and Responding to Threats

i. An antivirus administrator plays a critical role in analyzing and responding to potential threats to the organization's systems. This involves:

ii. Monitoring antivirus logs and reports to identify any suspicious activities or malware infections.

iii. Investigating detected threats, analyzing their nature, and understanding their potential impact on the organization.

iv. Implementing appropriate measures to isolate and quarantine infected systems to prevent further spread of malware.
