    Engineering @ Zepto

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Seller Platform team. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of our seller platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. You will lead a team of talented engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, proven leadership abilities, and a passion for building innovative marketplace solutions.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Provide technical leadership and guidance on major projects while also managing a team of engineers.
    • Ensure optimization of code, both your own and that of your team.
    • Manage business goals, contribute to product strategy, and aid in team development.
    • Create clear career paths and provide regular mentoring to team members.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate constructive feedback loops.
    • Act as the default mentor for our software engineers, guiding them as they progress.
    • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Business Development, and Operations to deliver scalable technology solutions efficiently.
    • Establish and advocate for best development practices while designing technically robust, flexible, and scalable solutions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to estimate and plan projects within an Agile framework.
    • Thrive in uncertainty and effectively collaborate across evolving organizational interfaces.

    What Are We Looking For?

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, with at least 8+ years of experience as a technical leader and people manager.
    • Proven track record of managing teams and delivering high-quality projects on time.
    • Experience in building, developing, and coaching teams of top technical talent.
    • Deep understanding of technology and architecture within scalable and available setups.
    • Deep technical expertise in Golang, Postgres/Mongo, Kafka, AWS, and other relevant technologies.
    • Experience architecting and building highly scalable, distributed systems in a production environment.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards addressing technical challenges and driving solutions.
    • Experience in the e-commerce or marketplace domain is a plus.
    • Familiarity with adopting new open-source technologies into product development.
