    Description

    Role & responsibilities

    Key technology leader to drive engineering excellence for large scale digital transformation program for telco client towards success. Lead a cross functional team of experts for AI Driven engineering strategies and solutions that meet evolving needs of telco client. Inculcate collaboration across platform and product teams from Telco and different partners and technology providers. Guide Telco with software engineering practices in context of product centric operating model while bringing in the best of Infosys to ensure results being delivered

    Preferred candidate profile

    • Engineering Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive engineering strategy aligned with Telco's business objectives and transformation roadmap. Drive/align strategy, principles and priorities across different work packages. Provide engineering opportunities, best practices, global knowledge and innovation ideas, through to Telco CTO. Drive strategies for legacy decommissioning and modernization; platform engineering, AI driven engineering acceleration
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal teams, telco stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure alignment of technology initiatives with customers' expectations and business outcomes
    • Innovation and Emerging Technologies: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvements in technology solutions across different value streams Sales, Fulfilment, Service Management, Billing and Corporate functions. Provide input into Product identification/design workshops where relevant. Inculcate innovative practices to bring in and nurture the product mindset within pods towards solutioning, technology choice and engineering aspects
    • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technology -related risks and challenges, advising on security, scalability and reliability of solutions deployed in the telco environment
    • Performance monitoring and optimization: Establish metrices and KPIs to measure the product performance and effectiveness of technology solutions, driving continuous optimization and enhancement efforts.
    • Cadence - Be an active contributor in the Platform Leadership team, Governance Forums. Provide advice as needed to Telco CTO in light of challenges and opportunities relevant to work packages, Weekly meetings with the Value stream and Product leadership team on related aspects (priorities, challenges, pain points, non-functional aspects like experience, performance, security, privacy) Regular innovation/global tech, product and engineering presentations/workshops. Regular workshops to identify prospective areas for investigation (product, technology, platforms) and prioritization of POCs and prototypes

    Mandatory

    • Bachelors degree in Engineering
    • Proven experience of 15+ years including 3+ years in technology leadership role preferably within telecommunications
    • Engineering experience in cloud native, microservices aligned resilient software architecture for large scale implementation
    • Strong track record of successfully leading complex technology projects and driving business outcomes
    • Excellent Communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
    • Experience of working with CDIO Office Participation in multi vendor governance forums for platform engineering

    Desirable

    • Engineering experience in a product / technology organization
    • Experience in product centric operating model environment
    • Exposure to ServiceNow, SAP, Amdocs could be helpful

    Experience - 15+ years of experience, Technology leadership experience - 3+ years
