Join Our Team as a Forensic Accountant at Marsh Mumbai Office

The Knowledge Services team plays a vital role in shaping the future strategy of Claims Solutions and Marsh Advisory. The Claims Solutions team in Mumbai consists of finance/accounting professionals who support Marsh colleagues and clients worldwide in handling complex insurance claims.

As a candidate, you will be a part of a team that delivers top-notch forensic accounting services across various locations. This role is based in Mumbai.

Job Overview:
- Utilize forensic accounting expertise to analyze and present claims to insurers, focusing on Business Interruption claims.
- Conduct detailed data analysis and review of documents such as purchase orders, invoices, and expense bills.
- Analyze client financial statements to assess damages resulting from catastrophic events.
- Interact with clients and internal stakeholders to gather information and present damage assessments.
- Assist in preparing projects related to pre-loss Business Interruption to assess insurance policy adequacy.
Responsibilities:

Understand and implement the Risk Evaluation model and process.
Prepare detailed work-papers and aid in preparing confidential reports.
Analyze client financial statements and provide financial insights.
Collaborate with other teams to innovate claim preparation solutions.
Mentor junior colleagues and provide quality assurance on their work.

Qualifications:

Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance.
7-9 years' experience in accounting (Big 4) or consulting.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Independent worker with critical thinking abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail and expertise in financial analysis.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Skills and Requirements:

Effective stakeholder management.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Project management expertise.
Experience in Business Interruption insurance claims preferred.
Proficiency in financial data modeling and VBA Macros.
Adaptability to new data management tools.
