Job Summary

A Program Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of

the entire project, coordinating and managing all inter-dependencies/tasks

within and outside the project.

The program manager is responsible for delivering change. The role requires effective co-ordination of the program's tasks and management of their inter-dependencies including oversight of any risks and issues arising. It also includes the co-ordination of the new capability for the business to enable effective change and realisation of projected benefits.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Planning and designing the program and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
• Ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the program - focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the program, and outwardly on its coherence with infrastructure planning, interfaces with other program and corporate, technical and specialist standards.
• Ensuring the delivery of new products or services from projects is to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the program plan and program governance/compliance arrangements.
• Managing third party contributions /integrations to the program and communications with all stakeholders.
• The ability to make quick, wise, and valuable decisions and choose the best course of action.
• Act as a customer success advocate by supporting them as they transition from sales prospects to active users of the product.
• Must be proactive in looking after their customer's business, suggesting new and innovative ways to keep them succeeding with our products.
• Managing both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects.
• Working as part of the Product team to define new business requirements/features and ensuring their timely release.
• Performing a comparative study of existing solutions of YGG and its competitors to enhance the product offering.
• Initiating extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the program are identified or issues arise.
• Reporting the progress of the program at regular intervals to the top management and client stakeholders.

Skills Required

• Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• The ability to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams.
• Good understanding of software product lifecycle management.
• Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes.
• Must have worked in Agile methodology/Scrum framework.
• Must be well acquainted with JIRA and Confluence.
• Sound business case development and approvals skills.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project etc.) is a strong advantage.
• Good knowledge of program and project management. methods/certifications including PMP, MSP and PRINCE2(Good to have).
