Purview of a Trans Ops Specialist

A Trans Ops Specialist at ROC facilitates seamless communication among stakeholders (Trans Carriers/Hubs/Warehouses) and resolves issues affecting customer satisfaction and operational continuity.

The role of a Trans Ops Specialist spans across Inbound and Outbound operations.

Inbound Operations focus on managing Vendor/Carrier/FC relationships to ensure timely freight pickup and delivery to FCs.

On the other hand, Outbound Operations oversee the flow of goods from FCs to customer premises via carriers.

Trans Ops Specialists address challenges throughout the transportation process by leveraging internal tools and making prompt decisions.

An ideal candidate should possess analytical skills, understand logistics, and communicate effectively.

They should also demonstrate the ability to propose and implement process improvements effectively.

• Engaging with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal teams (Retail, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers)
• Extracting data from various databases for reporting and analysis using tools like Excel, Access, and SQL.
• Defining performance metrics to drive business outcomes and collaborating with tech teams on system enhancements.
• Making informed decisions based on data insights, escalating issues to relevant teams, and ensuring timely resolutions.
