    Team Leader - Technology Services

    Position Summary

    The Firewall and Network Security Senior Analyst contributes to enhancing MetLife's cybersecurity stance by offering expertise in firewall and network security. This role focuses on managing and enhancing the process to ensure enterprise firewalls and network devices are properly secured and monitored. Besides possessing technical knowledge in firewalls and other network devices, this position requires strong organizational skills, exceptional communication abilities, and the capacity to influence and adapt swiftly to evolving threats and goals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure security tools are set up to perform periodic assessments on network devices
    • Establish security standards on critical applications hosted on SaaS WAF tool
    • Support in deploying firewalls' security features efficiently, in adherence to industry best practices and MetLife standards
    • Maintain and enhance IDS/IPS standards, analyze and approve traffic configuration rules
    • Create a firewall analytics and dashboarding process based on Splunk
    • Maintain security policy and standards for all network devices, identify security issues proactively, and provide recommendations

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience

      • Experience

    • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in IT and Cyber Security
    • Experience with Akamai Kona Site Defender, Cisco routers, Palo Alto firewalls, AP's, Wireless Controllers, SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor, Network Configuration Manager, PCAPs interpretation, BlueCoat, WAF, CSC 11,12,15

      • Knowledge and skills (general and technical)

    • Sound understanding of operational and security controls, vulnerability management, and IT general controls
    • Experience in diverse environments, excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to lead and influence teams, manage interdepartmental projects and external vendors
    • Familiarity with application security practices and common attack vectors mitigation

      • Other Requirements (licenses, certifications, specialized training – if required)

      • Basic scripting skills for process automation, industry certifications like CISM, CISSP, CISA, CCNA-Security, Security+, MCSE, GSEC, GIAC, PMP, LEAN, and Six Sigma are preferred
