The position of Critical Facilities Operations and Maintenance Engineer involves overseeing all crucial systems in a facility, including electrical and HVAC systems, and carrying out routine maintenance on these systems.

This role encompasses designing, planning, installing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and other infrastructure systems in demanding data center environments.

Working at NTT

Key Role and Responsibilities:

Designs, plans, installs, and maintains infrastructure systems in critical environments.
Works with major systems in buildings like electrical and HVAC systems, ensuring regular maintenance.
Understands sensitive facility components impacted by system failures.
Analyzes current operations to recommend new maintenance methods.
Evaluates and enhances maintenance procedures for optimal efficiency.
Complies with safety standards and coordinates emergency responses.
Participates in planning and installing new facility systems.
Repairs and troubleshoots systems as needed.
Coordinates with building administration for client services.
Addresses and resolves client feedback and concerns promptly.
Manages facility assets within policies and procedures.
Completes work orders accurately and on time.
Orders maintenance supplies as required.
Supervises vendors during maintenance activities.
Offers ongoing improvements to maintenance program.
Performs other engineering tasks as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:

Skilled in safety regulations, facility components, Microsoft Office, CMMS systems, and critical facilities maintenance.
Proficient in mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems.
Able to work night shifts and maintain positive relationships.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and multitasking abilities.
Capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
Trade Certification in Electrical or Mechanical (HVAC).
Professional affiliations (i.e., 7x24 Exchange, IFMA).

Experience Required:

Significant experience in a similar engineering role, particularly in data center environments.
Experience in technical engineering, blueprints interpretation, and facilities maintenance.
