    Role: Senior DataWarehouse Administrator

    Location: Bangalore

    We are in search of an adept and seasoned Database Administrator (DBA) specializing in columnar data warehousing, NoSQL databases, and demonstrating proficiency in Kubernetes to join our forward-thinking team. The ideal candidate will take charge of managing, optimizing, and securing our columnar data warehouse environment, showcasing prowess in resource pool management, subcluster configuration, and a robust foundation in database administration. Additionally, the candidate will play a vital role in integrating NoSQL databases and overseeing Kubernetes orchestration. A holistic skill set in database administration, NoSQL technologies, and containerized environments is essential.

    What You'll do:

    ● Columnar Data Warehouse Management, resource pool configuration and subcluster administration.

    ● Create, modify, and delete user accounts in accordance with access requests and organizational changes. Manage user access privileges based on job roles and responsibilities, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.

    ● Permission Management, Security audits and monitoring to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.

    ● NoSQL Database Integration, MongoDB Cluster and Replica Set Management, MongoDB Scaling and Sharding.

    ● Kubernetes Orchestration. Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize database performance in a containerized environment.

    ● Documentation, User Training and Awareness.

    ● Performance Tuning, backup and recovery.

    ● Set up monitoring tools to track system health, resource utilization, and performance metrics. Also, establish proactive alerting mechanisms to promptly address potential issues.

    The experience you need:

    ● 8+ years of work experience in database administration with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in columnar database technologies (e.g., Yellowbrick, Vertica, Snowflake, Redshift).

    ● Proven experience as a Database Administrator, focusing on columnar data warehousing, NoSQL databases, and Kubernetes.

    ● Strong SQL skills and expertise in query optimization.

    ● Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Couchbase).

    ● Proficient in Kubernetes orchestration and containerized deployment.

    ● Knowledge of resource pool configuration and subcluster management.

    ● Expertise in database security best practices.

    ● Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies for large-scale databases.

    ● Troubleshooting and resolution of complex database and Kubernetes issues.

    ● Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective cross-functional teamwork.

    ● Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.

    ● Proactive and self-motivated with a focus on continuous improvement.

    ● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

    ● Hands-on working experience with cloud platforms like AWS.

    Nice-to-haves

    ● Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Database - Specialty, MongoDB Certified Database Administrator, Kubernetes Certified Administrator) are advantageous.
