About the Role:
The Head of Cloud Platform, serving as the Principal Infrastructure Engineer with a focus on Azure, will lead the design, implementation, and management of our Azure cloud infrastructure. This role requires a strategic leader capable of driving infrastructure innovations and optimizations to support scalability, reliability, and security of cloud services in alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop Azure cloud infrastructure plan aligned with business goals.
· Optimize and scale Azure environments while managing costs.
· Design and deploy secure Azure cloud infrastructure architectures.
· Lead major infrastructure projects including migrations and deployments.
· Ensure high availability and performance of Azure infrastructure.
· Implement best practices for infrastructure as code and monitoring.
· Lead and mentor cloud infrastructure team, fostering innovation.
· Collaborate with IT and business leaders to support business needs.
· Communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
· Oversee security and compliance of Azure infrastructure.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Deep technical knowledge in network architecture and data security specific to Azure.
· Experience with automation tools and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, ARM Templates).
· Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for automation and configuration.
Certifications:
· Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Azure Administrator Associate.
Experience:
· At least 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a minimum of 7 years focused on Azure cloud environments.
· Proven track record of designing and leading large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in Azure cloud deployments.
Competencies:
· Expert knowledge of Azure cloud services and infrastructure components.
· Strong capability in managing and scaling complex cloud environments.
· Excellent leadership and team management skills.
