Purpose


In addition to the duties and responsibilities below, the individual should be prepared, as and when necessary, to take on additional outreach responsibilities.


Job Duties and Accountabilities

  • Edit and factcheck opinion pieces, blog posts, and other communication material such as newsletters
  • Write timely, mediaworthy and engaging press releases on CEEW's reports
  • Develop interesting story/content ideas for different mediums, social media and readers
- impact stories for CEEW on a regular basis

  • Manage the CEEW blog. This includes commissioning and editing blogs, and ensuring a regular flow of content
  • Ensure the quality of content is maintained as per CEEW standards across different content products. Ensure strict adherence to CEEW branding guidelines
  • Cocreate an inhouse style sheet with the Editorial Lead
  • Aid in the creation of impact stories from CEEW's work

Additional responsibilities

  • Support the Communications Specialist in managing and strengthening CEEW's media engagement.
  • Support the Outreach team on a range of tasks

Selection Criteria
Qualification

  • Master's/Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations, or any related field.
Work experience and other skills

  • Minimum 24 years' experience in editing and writing.
  • Proven track record of delivering highquality written content for different mediums.
  • Excellent grasp of the English language.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent eye for detail.
  • A big appetite for news and spotting media trends.
  • Demonstrated abilities to manage multiple priorities, projects and internal/external resources in a fastpaced environment, while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Strong drive and initiative, a selfstarter.
