As a tools administrator, your role is to provide this support across all the Digital teams in Weir.

Objectives & Measurement


Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities:

Responsibilities:

Tool Administration

  • Administration of digital tools required by the digital and data teams across Weir including user administration, system administration and support
  • Monitoring of tool usage and availability and coordinating any corrective action
  • Tracking and management of tool roadmaps and version to ensure systems are kept uptodate and secure
  • Management and tracking of requests and support through ServiceNow
  • Establishing and ensure system and support SLAs
  • Manage tool licensing, renewals and budget with Finance and Management
Tool Champion

  • Stay abreast of vendor and industry best practice
  • Track and communicate best practice use of tools across the various communities of practice
  • Act as point of contact for training and best practices
  • Coordinate investigations and POCs into new tool usage
  • Maintain register of active tools and facilitate community of practice reviews to ensure evolving best performance

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

Education


Required:

  • Bachelor's in engineering, computer science, IT, or relevant and equivalent industry experience.
Experience

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in equivalent role

Technical Skills:

Desirable:

  • ITIL certification and Administration certification
  • Cloud environments e.g. azure
  • Administration of common tools such as github, sonarcloud, jira, etc

Skill sets required:

  • Experience of tool administration for software development teams
  • Experience of support processes such as ITIL
  • Experience of tool administration for desktop and cloud based tools
  • Resourcefulness and problemsolving aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
