    Job Requirement:

    Responsibilities:

    API Efficiency and Scalability: On Azure Cloud (Azure APIM)

    Analyze / Be able to do an assessment of the existing API architecture for API definition, API scalability, performance bottlenecks and other similar issues and propose solutions for scalability (both horizontal and vertical).

    Understand how API is built, how to share API components with multiple APIs, API exposure, and ongoing maintenance.

    Understand inconsistencies between related APIs, identify flaws in designs that fail to meet specific demands.

    Continuously improve API definition & performance and manage scaling operations effectively.

    Understand data pipes and resolve issues related to in-consistency with data load/updates, job schedulers, performance etc.

    API Gateway Management:

    Develop, Implement and manage API gateways on Azure Cloud / APIM to effectively route traffic and manage API calls.

    Design and enforce policies for throttling, quotas, and user authentication.

    Microservices Architecture:

    Split monolithic APIs into microservices to improve modularity, maintainability, and performance.

    Coordinate the deployment and integration of microservices into the existing ecosystem.

    Database Management and Optimization:

    Strategize database partitioning and optimization for efficient API performance.

    Ensure seamless data handling and retrieval for high-volume API interactions.

    Traffic and Volume Management:

    Monitor API usage patterns and predict scaling needs.

    Implement strategies to handle peak loads and ensure consistent API performance.

    Mandatory Skills

    • Should have 10+ years of software development experience where the majority of which should be in architecting, developing, and managing extensible API-based applications, specifically on Azure platform.
    • Should have hands on experience in building microservices, container-based application deployment, service-oriented architecture, RESTful techniques, event-driven design, Logic Apps, Webhooks or other runtime environments, and CI/CD tools.
    • Should have hands on experience in developing APIs on Azure Cloud
    • Should have knowledge of various architectural components used to integrate applications through APIs like Azure Service Bus, Webhooks, Topic, Logic Apps etc...
    • Experience in studying and assessing a large API eco system on a complex Enterprise application landscape of diverse technologies and provide proposal to remediate.
    • Strong technical expertise for the creation of API guidelines - standard methodologies, Definition, authentication, authorization frameworks by adopting industry-standard methodologies.
    • Expertise across multiple API platforms, gateways, have established API strategy for large organizations, and have defined Unified API Strategy, bringing standardization and API governance.
    • Strong experience in monitoring and measuring the API usage and quality.
    • Strong experience with Azure services and infrastructure.
    • Strong knowledge of API based architecture in distributed environment.
    • Proven expertise in implementing and managing API gateways, Apigee experience is an added advantage.
    • Good understanding of microservices architecture and containerization technologies.
    • Should be expert in .Net technology.
    • Strong knowledge about SQL database design and architecture.
    • Good hands on experience in Microsoft Azure cloud service.
    • Experience with database management, optimization, and scaling.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a performance-oriented mindset.
    • Experience in handling high-traffic APIs and scaling large-scale web applications would be a plus.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

    Soft Skills / Any other Expectation

    • Strong in problem solving and analytical skills and ability to articulate and document solution proposal.
    • Should have excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Should be ready to work from client's office/Xyram office.
    • Having exposure to developing applications for manufacturing domain is an added advantage.
