    Description

    The Security Officer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of ___CLIENT SITE___-Retail security and fire/life safety programs and systems.

    · Supervises Security Staff, assigns/monitors work assignments and provides training in life safety, first aid, etc...

    · Controls access to buildings and monitor activities of visitors in the entire premises

    · Manages security scheduling and approval of contract invoices

    · Obtains copies of each security personnel of the vendor, and periodically audit contractor for ongoing compliance

    · Supervises Parking access personnel staff

    · Maintains on-going communications with Property Manager, Asst. Property Manager and other building related services staff

    · Monitors building operations

    · Establishes inspection tours of property, focusing on stairwells, elevators, and all areas of ingress/egress

    · Gains/maintains proficiency with building's life safety system and central security panel

    · Maintains a working knowledge of all current building, fire and life safety code requirements

    · Assists in emergency situations (i.e. fire, evacuations human crisis, etc.)

    · Reviews security after hours reports and monitors performance

    · Assists in performance/ behaviour related meetings regarding contract security staff

    · Co-develops with the management staff operating guidelines and practices

    · Implements and provides budgets relating to the property and staff

    · Identify the gaps in the delivery of job responsibility of security guards & supervisors (while on the job)

    · Plan and conduct training for the entire security team for identified gaps or additional training requirements.
