    JOB TITLE: DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT, RETENTION & REACTIVATION

    LOCATION: MUMBAI, INDIA

    ROLE DESCRIPTION:

    As the Director of Product, Retention & Reactivation at JioSaavn, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our music streaming experience. This strategic position is not just about managing a product; it's about leading a vision. You will spearhead the strategy and execution of our retention and reactivation initiatives, directly influencing user engagement and loyalty. This is a role that blends analytical prowess with creative thinking, aimed at continuously enhancing user experience and satisfaction.

    In this leadership capacity, you will guide a dedicated team of product managers and collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and marketing professionals. Your mission will be to drive innovative solutions that not only re-engage inactive users but also deepen the relationship with our current audience. As a people manager, you will mentor and develop your team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

    Your role is critical in steering JioSaavn's growth trajectory by ensuring that our users not only love our app but remain excited and engaged with every interaction. Your strategies and decisions will have a direct impact on user retention, making your role a cornerstone in our journey to be the premier music streaming service.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

    1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive retention and reactivation strategy. Lead the team in identifying key opportunities and challenges in the user lifecycle and devise innovative solutions to address them.
    2. Team Management and Development: Manage and mentor a team of product managers. Foster an environment of growth, innovation, and excellence, ensuring your team is equipped to contribute at their highest potential.
    3. User Engagement Analysis: Dive deep into user data to understand behavior patterns. Use insights to inform strategy, identify areas for improvement, and measure the impact of retention initiatives.
    4. Product Development: Lead the development of features and initiatives that enhance user retention and reactivation. Ensure that every product release aligns with the overall vision and user needs.
    5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and data teams to ensure cohesive effort in product development and user experience enhancement.
    6. Innovative Experimentation: Champion the use of A/B testing and other experimental approaches to validate hypotheses and drive continuous improvement in user engagement and retention.
    7. Stakeholder Communication: Clearly communicate strategies, insights, and progress to all stakeholders, including senior leadership. Be the voice of the retention and reactivation team, articulating the value and impact of your initiatives.
    8. Market and User Research: Stay abreast of market trends and competitor strategies. Combine external insights with internal user data to inform and adjust your strategy.
    9. Product Roadmap Development: Define and manage the product roadmap for retention and reactivation, ensuring that it aligns with JioSaavn's overall objectives and user needs.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Educational Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or related field from a premier institution.
    2. Experience: Minimum 8 years in the industry, including 6+ years in product management and preferably 2-3 years in a leadership role.
    3. Leadership and Team Management: Proven ability to lead and develop a team of product managers.
    4. Data-Driven Approach: Strong analytical skills, with a focus on data-driven decision making.
    5. Product Strategy and Execution: Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful product strategies.
    6. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
    7. Agile Methodologies: Proficiency in agile practices and tools like JIRA.

    Bonus Skills

    Ideally, you'll also excel at least a few of the following:


    • Product Analytics experience


    • Understanding Front- or back-end development.


    • User research and analysis
