    Description

    Role Summary :


    The Splunk Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing advanced Splunk dashboards, contributing to our DevOps initiatives, and providing application support to ensure optimal performance and security.


    The successful candidate will have a strong background in Splunk, an understanding of DevOps practices, and experience in application support.


    Key Responsibilities :

    • Develop, configure, and manage Splunk dashboards, reports, and alerts to monitor and analyze application performance and security incidents.
    • Implement and maintain Splunk infrastructure, including forwarders, indexers, and search heads, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
    • Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate Splunk into CI/CD pipelines for realtime monitoring and logging of various stages.
    • Provide technical support for Splunk users and assist in the development of custom Splunk applications to meet business requirements.
    • Work closely with application support teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining SLAs.
    • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Splunk queries and dashboards to ensure quick and accurate data retrieval.
    • Stay uptodate with the latest Splunk features and best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our monitoring and logging capabilities.
    • Document configurations, procedures, and changes to the Splunk environment.

    Qualifications and Skills :

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
    • Minimum 4 years of experience working with Splunk, including dashboard development, administration, and architecture.
    • Strong understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
    • Experience in application support, with a keen ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
    • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Shell for automation tasks.
    • Familiarity with Linux/Unix and Windows server environments.
    • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
    • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
    • Splunk certification (e.g., Splunk Certified Developer, Splunk Certified Architect) is highly preferred.
