Job Summary:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work closely with artisans to develop new furniture designs that reflect our brand's unique aesthetic and commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
Develop concept sketches, technical drawings, and 3D models of furniture designs using computeraided design (CAD) software.
Work collaboratively with artisans to refine designs and ensure feasibility for production.
Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for each design, including materials, dimensions, and construction details.
Manage the prototype production process, including sourcing materials and coordinating with artisans and suppliers.
Test and evaluate prototypes to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
Provide design guidance and support to the production team during the manufacturing process to ensure design integrity is maintained.
Stay uptodate with industry trends, materials, and techniques to continuously improve our design capabilities.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in furniture design, with a focus on custom furniture design.
Strong knowledge of furniture design, manufacturing techniques, and materials.
Excellent sketching and 3D modeling skills, with proficiency in CAD software.
Strong attention to detail and ability to create detailed technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with artisans and suppliers.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload.
Strong problemsolving skills and ability to think creatively to develop innovative furniture designs.
Passion for artisanal furniture and craftsmanship.
