    Description

    JD for Functional Safety

    Responsibilities:

    • Evaluating system designs, safety mechanisms, fault handling techniques, diagnostic methods and testing methodologies for functional safety compliance
    • Performing Functional Safety confirmation reviews
    • Knowledge of ISO 26262 standard and its application
    • Knowledge of different automotive electronic systems and their working
    • Strong work experience in system engineering or software engineering in Automotive / Aerospace industry.
    • Experience with automotive / aerospace electrical or electronics producgets and their controls
    • Understanding of safety standards like ISO26262, IEC 61508 etc.
    • Vehicle level experience is a plus.
    • Experience with safety analysis techniques (FMEA, FTA, HARA)
    • Reliability engineering knowledge a plus.
    • Experience in developing technical processes, procedures, guidelines, and templates a plus.
    • Good communication skills; ability to explain concepts to other engineers.
    • Training skills for technical processes

    Years of Experience – 5 to 10 Years

    1. Must Have
    2. Shall have knowledge on Chassis, Body Control, L1, L2 & L3+ ADAS features system & S/W development (SW Architecture, design, coding functional and safety requirements, validation)
    3. Safety knowledge in multicore platform would be an added advantage.
    4. Shall have working experience on Functional safety activities at following level of safety analysis.
    • Concept level safety analysis (Good to have)
    1. Define Item Definition
    2. Derive HAZOP
    3. HARA analysis
    4. Derive FSC / FSRs from Safety goals
    • ASIL Decomposition
    • Safety analysis methodologies
    1. FTA, cut set analysis.
    2. FMEA
    3. DFA
    4. FFI
    5. Critical path analysis
    6. Event tree analysis
    • System level safety analysis
    1. Decompose FSR to derive TSC, TSR
    2. Allocate TSRs to the Physical Architecture
    3. Verify proposed TSC and TSRs complying to the FSRs
    • Software (Application & Firmware) level safety
    1. Derive SSRs based on TSR, TSC and SW architecture.
    2. Perform safety analysis on SW Architecture
    3. Identify safety gaps in SW architecture and recommend safety architecture along with enhanced SW safety requirements.
    4. Hardware level safety analysis would be added advantage
    5. Safety compliance knowledge
    6. Verification & Validation of safety requirements
    7. Safety planning and execution
    8. Mentor Jr. resources and Get the work done with streamlined guidelines, checklist & templates so as to achieve profitable project execution.

    Having functional and safety software development (Applications, platform layer) background would be added advantage
