Overview:

The primary responsibility of this position is partnering with our global operations and business leaders to providing contract management expertise, build and manage a contract database, and provide contract management support to our global procurement teams. This role will focus on identifying an effective contract management platform, engaging internal sourcing partners to collect and manage supply contracts, NDA, long term agreements, licensing agreements, and similar contract types.

The Contract Manager – Global Sourcing will have a primary focus on contract management for diagnostic and life science reagent and instrument contracts. The successful candidate will possess and demonstrate a deep understanding of contract management. Should have strong knowledge of contract database supplier landscape. The position requires an individual to work closely with our internal teams and be recognized by their peers as an expert in the field. Thinking outside the box and challenging current processes is expected and encouraged to accelerate spend under contract metrics.

Responsibilities:

Contract Database. Establishing and managing a dynamic contract management software platform such as Zycus, Cobblestone, Conga, or similar.

Contract Management. Reviewing and analyzing current contracts and identifying and making recommendations based on renewal, end of life, or related.

Driving Process Improvement Initiatives. In conjunction with business units and global procurement organization, identifying opportunities for contract management improvements, vertical integration and process rigor that will deeply impact operational performance, customer satisfaction and quality improvements across the organization.

Data Analysis. Compiles contracts data by site, supplier and technology and recommends ways to maximize or optimize.

Safety and Regulations . Developing and maintaining processes and methods that comply with all safety, ISO / regulatory, and company requirements/guidelines, in support of local, state and federal safety standards.

Knowledge of Contract Management system is a must.

This is Mumbai based Hybrid role - 3 days mandatory work from office and 2 days remote.

Basic Qualifications:

BS in Contract Management or Paralegal, or a related legal discipline

10 or more years of experience working with a variety of contract and contract management system.

5 or more years of experience in an instrument hardware discipline in a biotech organization.

Prior expertise with instrument commodities.

Strong negotiation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

MS in Contract Management or a related legal discipline.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

Knowledge of SAP and ERP / MRP systems a plus.
