What we are looking for:
CLOUDSUFI is in search of a GCP Data Engineer with a specialization in Dataform. In this role, you will lead the development and management of data pipelines and analytics solutions on GCP, exceeding customer expectations. Your responsibilities include overseeing the entire data engineering process, leading a skilled team of data engineers, defining testing strategies, and driving process improvements, all while ensuring data reliability, accuracy, and performance. Effective communication skills are key in reporting project status, quality metrics, and issues to stakeholders for alignment and transparency. Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the data engineering process on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) projects.
Ensure the final data solution meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Develop quality planning strategies for data pipelines and analytics solutions.
Lead and manage a collaborative team of data engineers for high-quality output.
Define and implement testing strategies for data processes.
Design and execute tests to ensure data reliability, accuracy, and performance.
Manage defects and issues in data pipelines for timely resolution.
Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
Identify and mitigate risks related to data engineering processes.
Generate reports and communicate project status and issues effectively.

Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- Advanced degrees (Master's, PhD) are advantageous but not always required.

Skills:

Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly related to data engineering.
Strong understanding of SQL, data modeling, and version control systems.
Experience in data orchestration tools like Dataform, programming languages (Python, Java, Scala), and scripting (Bash).
Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL pipelines, data governance, and compliance standards.
Hands-on experience in building scalable data solutions using GCP services, agile methodologies, and troubleshooting complex data issues.
Strong communication, problem-solving, adaptability, attention to detail, and project management skills.

Behavioral Competencies:

Experience with US/Europe based clients and good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with effective task prioritization.
Experience in working under tight deadlines in a matrix organization.
Demonstrated Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) in past roles.
