- Conduct routine laboratory scientific tasks with the utmost precision and adherence to the Laboratory Department's policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Consultant Pathologist, Laboratory Manager, Senior Medical Scientist, and Chief Medical Scientist to implement innovative ideas and methods in alignment with Hospital policy.
- Assist in managing the registration, storage, and inventory of laboratory reagents and consumables as needed.
- Collaborate with the Pathology Management Team to develop procedures aimed at preventing and managing accidents within the Laboratory area.
- Actively participate in the development of the laboratory information system for the department as needed.
- Must be registered with CORU
- Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Medical Science from the Galway/Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT). Or
- Bachelor of Science (Honours) Biomedical Science, Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT). Or
- Bachelor in Science Honours degree in Biomedical Science from the Joint University College Cork – Cork Institute of Technology course AND Diploma in Clinical Laboratory Practice.
