    The Assistant Private Equity (PE) and Real Assets (RE)LegalEntitycontrollerforApolloGlobalManagement("AGM")isresponsibleforentityanddepartment levelaccounting,includingbutnotlimitedtojournalentries, analysisandmonthlyanalyticstoensureaccuraterevenue,expense, balancesheet,andregulatoryreportingforthe managementcompanies/advisoryentitieswithinAGM. This position will also provide assistance the accounting, reporting and analytics on GP Securitization and SPAC transaction. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Prepare daily cash bookings and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure proper accounting treatment is applied to all management companies /advisory entity transactions and balances, including management fees, equity method investments and other related transactions
  • Compile and provide detail support and analyses for internal files and external audit review.
  • Continue to advance and improve workflow surrounding monthly and quarterly close process with a focus on automating and streamlining processes.
  • Assist with the quarterly pending deal process
  • Assist with code creation process used to allocate expenses for funds, AGM, and deals.
  • Assist with quarterly internal and external reporting, which includes earnings release, 10-Q/K and related disclosures, as well as Marketing and Investor Relations materials
  • Coordinate with fund controllers regarding fund related revenue, expenses, and communication workflow
  • Coordinate with Corp Financial Reporting team to supply and review quarterly (10Q/10K) filing requirements, including footnote disclosures, MD&A commentary, and other supporting docs.
  • Prepare detailed balance sheet and income statement variance and fluctuation analyses in connection with the 10Q/10K.
  • Assist in maintaining a strong SOX controls environment and ensuring proper documentation of our SOX processes.
  • Ad hoc requests and special projects as necessary

    • Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong U.S. GAAP accounting expertise (CPA or CA preferred).
  • 2-4 years of professional work experience (prior experience in Big 4 or a mix of Big 4/Private preferred).
  • Individual must have strong drive and initiative
  • Individual must be collaborative to effectively liaise with various internal departments and colleagues as well as able to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Role requires individual to be flexible to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • The ability to take on a task and "run with it" to conclusion is a critical characteristic of this role.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
  • Candidate must have an analytical, logical thought process for developing solutions
