Job Summary:

The Network Operations Lead is a customer facing position with primary responsibility of manage day to day operations of network operations centre (NOC) along with projects and deliverables supporting Infrastructure operations. The primary focus of this position will be to coordinate with cross functional IT teams to ensure high availability of IT infrastructure and services to the business and Bechtel users.

Bechtel is currently seeking a Network Operations Lead based out of New Delhi to manage NOC team in New Delhi.

Major Responsibilities:

• Responsible for service deliveries by infrastructure support teams - NOC.
• Establish and maintain strong focus on customer service including relationship with internal and external customers and NOC team in Glendale.
• Establishing team goals and monitoring workgroup performance on deliverables and operational support activities.
• Providing leadership, mentoring and general guidance on day to day operations to NOC team.
• Prime focus on:
• Incidents
• Timely response & coordination to outages
• Management of Snow Incidents under NOC and timely resolution
• Own and coordinate change management which includes review, follow-ups and governance.
• Interfacing collaboratively with other team leads, IS&T and Functional staff to ensure efficient and consistent IT services with high availability.
• Prioritize projects & deliverables to meet end goals of IS&T infrastructure.
• Responsible for keeping track of shift coverage.
• Responsible for deciding how to approach tasks and develop a plan to accomplish them.
• Responsible for overseeing all activities within a team.
• Create and maintain technical documentation as per Bechtel governance standards.
• Able to plan and handle projects as per NOC scope of work.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related IT field of study.
• 7+ years of professional experience with a minimum of 5 years in an Information Technology field and experience with complex assignments.
• Experience in managing network support services including NOC operations is required

Other Remarks/Qualifications:

• Proven ability to understand business requirements and implement services and solutions enterprise wide, in line with strategic business and IS&T goals.
• Strong troubleshooting, analysis and consultative user support skills.
• Proven ability to manage all aspects of state-of-the-art technologies including cloud adoptions and migrations.
• Excellent ability to communicate in technical terms with global IS&T peers and to translate technical terms into layperson's terms for use with audiences outside of IS&T.
• Broad knowledge of Bechtel Infrastructure and functional work processes.
• knowledge of NOC monitoring tools like Microsoft SCOM, Orion etc.
• Ability to identify, track, escalate and resolve problems using comprehensive techniques and methods of troubleshooting end-user problems.
